The Underwater Menace is finally to be released on DVD

The Patrick Troughton Doctor Who story The Underwater Menace is being released on DVD on October 26th.   Two out of four episodes from the story exist in the BBC archives and one of these (Episode 2) was rediscovered in 2011 and has never been made commercially available.

The DVD release was previously cancelled after plans to animate the two missing episodes fell through.  It is unclear whether there will now be animations or telesnap reconstructions on the disc but it is known that some extra content has been produced.  You can pre-order the DVD now:
