Channel 4 and AMC have confirmed that Humans has been
recommissioned for a second series.
The science-fiction fiction drama has been great success
with critics and audiences in the UK and USA.
In the UK, the first series has attracted an average of 4.8 million
viewers and the first episode achieved 6.1 million, making it Channel 4’s highest rated original
drama in 20 years. Humans is broadcast
by AMC in the USA where it has averaged 2.0 million viewers.
The second series will also
consist of eight episodes. Production
will begin next year.
The first series concludes on
Channel 4 tomorrow (Sunday 2nd August, 9pm).
