Writer Neil Cross is working on a remake of cult science
fiction series Sapphire & Steel.
Cross, creator of Luther and writer of Doctor Who episodes The Rings of
Akhaten and Hide, told the Nerdist Writers’ panel podcast, explained
"there's a broadcaster in the UK that's very, very keen to do it."
The original series ran on ITV from 1979 to 1982 starred
Joanna Lumley and David McCallum as time travelling agents and is available on
DVD box-set:
