The 100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time

A recently published special magazine by the makers of SFX and Total Film counts down the 100 top TV dramas, comedies and animations of all time.  The list is heavily dominated by US TV box-set favourites with the top 4 positions being taken by Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Mad Men and The Wire.   Doctor Who comes in 5th place overall.

6) The Prisoner (ITV: 1967-1968) (44th overall)

7) Monty Python's Flying Circus (BBC: 1969-1974) (45th overall)

8) I'm Alan Partridge (BBC: 1997-2002) (46th overall)

9) Fawlty Towers (BBC: 1975-1979) (49th overall)

10) Downton Abbey (ITV: 2010) (50th overall)
